What are SonicPoi?

SonicPoi are balls with tails used in the art of Poi (or "Twirling").

What is Poi?

Poi (meaning "ball") is a Maori traditional method of dancing. It is performed by New Zealand Maori women, but some believe it actually originated in Japan and was taught to wealthy Japanese children.

Traditionally the balls themselves were works of art, decorated with geometrical shapes and sometimes adorned with feathers or long white dog's hair.

The Poi dance is rapidly travelling from land to land, filling many peoples lives with magic. It is mesmerising to watch and rewarding to learn.
